Questions that ought to be answered here that I don't know the answers to:

  • Is there a limit on how far the oasis can be from the conquering village?
  • Can you conquer an oasis that another village is actively holding? How do you defend it?
  • At what rate are resources produced in an unoccupied oasis? At what rate do the animals respawn?

Ok... that, plus someone needs to write an article about the damn animals, and I think that'll do for a start. Faithfully, Delbow 01:06, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

For distance from the village, oases must be within said village's 7x7. This means that if your 7x7 map is centered on your map, you can only control the oasis (or oases) that you see on that exact map.

You can conquer oases that other players hold. This is done by attacking three times with a hero (and obviously winning the attacks). If the player has 3 oases from that village, then you only have to attack one time. You can defend oases by sending reinforcements from your rally point, and you can withdraw them using your village's rally point.

The resource production is given to the village that owns it from what I understand. However, when you raid an oasis that a play owns, you can raid 10% of the resources of that type from the village that owns this. Then, the amount stored in the oasis is regenerated/filled back up over a 10 minute period, so if you raided again after only 7 minutes, you would only get 7% of the resources. This third answer I am less sure of, but that is what I understand from what I read on the forums.
